About us
Lipa is a small, owner operated business with focus on residential wood and stone work. The woodwork scope ranges from consignment furniture and build in units to decks. On the stone side my specialty is garden hardscaping, be it natural or man made stone.
My stone training began in Germany during my stay there between 1992-1998. Shortly after being employed with Till Welz Garten-und Landschaftsbau I was assigned to work with the stone, mainly due to my patience with the work. I continued working with stone for the next 3 years.
After arriving to Canada in 1998, and a short stint in the IT industry, circumstances brought me in to a position to learn more about fine carpentry which led to my love for woodworking and eventually cabinetry. In 2002 I decided to use the knowledge acquired in Germany and start my own business and eventually outfit a woodworking workshop in order to fuhrer develop my skills.
Lipa is in essence a two man show (me and the apprentice), so I can take only one job at the time. This means that I do most of the critical work and am always present on the work site. It also means that, for the most part, I am not be available on short notice, so keep it in mind when scheduling work. It is always good to get in touch sooner rather than later to allow for this lead up time.
